International Day Of Action For Women’s Health, 28 May 2019
International Women’s Health Day is being organised every year on May 28. The movement has started worldwide 30years ago as International Day of Action for Women’s Health for women’s rights advocates and allies in the sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR).
So, Women’s Health Day was declared to point out the issues related to women’s health and promote their sexual well being.
Nearly 70% of INDIAN women are ignoring their health issues. 75% of young women are feeling shy about discussing their menstrual problems. 17% of women are dying after giving birth to a new life. 60% of women don’t even know the perfect nutrition diet to follow during pregnancy.
Of all cancer deaths in India, nearly 30% of the deaths are due to breast cancer in females. One woman out of every eight women is suffering from PCOD. Make a difference to the world, save women’s by creating awareness and educating them over their health on this International Day of Action for Women’s Health.
