National Safe Motherhood Day, 11th April 2019
Mother, is not just a word that defines a relationship. It is filled with endless emotions, selfless love, protection, strength and what not. It is a pathetic situation that women’s life during pregnancy is at risk. Every day, nearly 830 women are dying from preventable causes related to pregnancy and childbirth.
Most of the maternal deaths are observed in developing countries. India is the first country in the world to observe Safe Motherhood Day. From the 1990 ’s many struggled and brought down the maternal mortality to 44% around worldwide. As part of the Social Responsibility and Developmental Goals, lets aim to prevent global maternal mortality.
Excessive care before, during and after the birth of a child can save the lives of women and newborn babies.
