Save Lives! Be A Hero! – World First Aid DaY
Millions of people are dying every year around the world due to inadequate response or lack of emergency help. While waiting for an emergency help FIRST-AID can save the life of a person or can reduce the impact of the injury. As a responsible citizen, it is our responsibility to help others in emergency situations.
To create awareness among people about the importance of First-Aid, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) started World First Aid Day in 2000. Every year on the second Saturday of September hundred’s of events are organized around the world to promote the importance of first aid. Training is given in first-aid which can prevent injuries and save lives.
First aid training gives you more than the knowledge and skills to respond effectively in emergency situations. Sunshine Hospitals organizes a wide variety of first aid campaigns and CPR training programs to empower people to act on, prevent, and manage emergency situations. As a part of social accountability, we are educating people and creating awareness at our hospital about the importance of First-Aid.
We urge every individual to be a part of First-Aid awareness programmes being organised in your communities.
