World Asthma Awareness Day, May 7, 2019
World Asthma Day is observed every year on the first Tuesday in the month of May. This program is organized by the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) to create awareness around the world about the care to be taken to cure asthma.
Asthma is a chronic lung disease. In this condition, a person’s airway becomes tight, swell and produce extra mucus which leads to breathing disorders. This is a condition where the lungs and airways become inflamed easily when exposed to particular triggers like inhaling pollen, catching cold or other respiratory infections.
Asthma varies from person to person and is of different types. In India, nearly 10 Million cases are recording every year and the number is increasing with time. We, at Sunshine Hospitals, always care for people’s health and took the initiative to preserve people’s health and as a part of social accountability, we are educating and creating awareness in the society over Asthma and the measures to prevent it.
