World Brain Tumor Day, 8 June 2019
A brain tumour or brain cancer is the growth of abnormal cells within the brain or spinal cord that can be dangerous as it can disrupt brain functioning. A brain tumour is of various types and differentiated depending on the location of cancer growth.
Every day more than 500 new brain tumour cases are being diagnosed worldwide. A number of patients with this type of tumours causing brain metastases are even higher. It is sad to say that the brain is the most common type of cancer among children.
Early diagnosis and treatment can reduce the adverse effects of these tumours. Every year World Brain Tumor Day takes place on June 08 organised by the Deutsche Hirntumorhilfe e.V. (German Brain Tumor Association) to point out the issues facing by brain tumour patients.
