World Multiple Sclerosis Day, 30 May 2019
Multiple sclerosis also termed as MS is a long-lasting chronic disease which can affect your brain, spinal cord and the optical nerves in our eyes. It also disrupts the information flow within the brain, and between brain and body.
MS causes when the immune system is attacked by a fatty material called myelin, which is wrapped around your nerve fibers and protect them. Without this shell, our nerves will get damaged.
That means our brain can’t transmit signals through the body perfectly. Nerves also don’t work properly as they should help in the movement and to feel. As a result, one can observe the symptoms mentioned above infographic.
